What do Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, Migraines, Fibromyalgia and other chronic pain syndromes and obesity have in common?

They’re all a result of a neurotransmitter imbalance.

Neurotransmitters are the chemical messengers that travel along nerve cells and send the body important signals.  When neurotransmitters become unbalanced, many of the conditions listed above tend to result.

The good news is that you can restore the balance naturally, using Amino Acid TherapyTo do this, amino acid supplements are used to supply the necessary amino acids and precursors (other nutrients involved in the biochemical formation of neurotransmitters from their specific amino acid precursors).  These help restore the necessary amino acids and co-factors the body needs, and help balance neurotransmitters.

Restore balance with NeuroReplete

Getting started is simple. Start with 4 NeuroReplete (NR), twice daily (in the AM and at 4 PM) with 2 CysReplete (CR), three times daily (the first dose at noon).

AM NOON 4 PM 7 PM
4 NR 4 NR
2 CR 2 CR 2 CR

Note: If you experience nausea with the above protocol, it is an indication that your serotonin levels are very low and you will need to increase your amino acid dosing more slowly. See ‘Nausea at the Start of Amino Acid Therapy’ below for more information.

It is very important that you do not miss any doses of amino acid therapy for optimal results; if you do miss a dose, you may experience a ‘relapse’ in symptoms for 3-5 days.

Medications that deplete neurotransmitter balance

Many medications can cause depletion of neurotransmitters in addition to other nutrients, including all anti-depression, anti-anxiety, migraine and sleep medications. If you have taken or are currently taking medications that deplete neurotransmitter levels (including all selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) medications), you may want to consider taking the following products in addition to the NeuroReplete and CysReplete above to restore proper nutritional status:

CoQ10 (100 mg) – 1 gelcap daily with food

Glycogenics – 1 tablet twice daily with food

In addition, taking the NeuroReplete and CysReplete as recommended above will help stop further depletion of neurotransmitters and will help improve the effectiveness of anti-depression, anti-anxiety, migraine and sleep medications (including all SSRI and SNRI) medications.

Nausea at the Start of Amino Acid Therapy

If you experience nausea upon starting amino acid therapy that gets worse each time you take the amino acids your neurotransmitter levels are most likely very low and we need to ease your body into amino acid therapy.

The first thing to try is to take the amino acids with a little bit of food (crackers or applesauce work well for most people). If that does not help, do the following:

1)     Discontinue taking the amino acids/NeuroReplete during the day.

2)     Begin by taking 1 NeuroReplete at night just before going to sleep.

3)     After 3-4 days of no nausea, increase to 2 NeuroReplete before going to sleep.

4)     Repeat this process until you are taking 4 NeuroReplete before bed. Once you can do this with no nausea, begin taking 4 NeuroReplete in the morning and 1 NeuroReplete at night before bed.

5)     Continue the same process of increasing your NeuroReplete dosage by 1 capsule every 3-4 days (without nausea) until you are taking 4 NeuroReplete in the morning and 4 NeuroReplete before bed.

6)     Now you can begin taking the NeuroReplete as directed.

This approach to rebuilding Amino Acids can help rebuild your neurotransmitter balance.  For more information and discuss your case in greater detail, contact the Natural Path Health Center.
