Optimal Body Balance - Where Weight Loss is a Science


The ultimate goal that is reached while working through the Optimal Body Balance program (OBB) is weight loss but I want to emphasize that this is not a diet or just a weight-loss program. OBB offers client's tools to change their lifestyles so that optimal health and long term weight management can be achieved. It is truly an education and it is our goal is teach clients how foods work in the body. With knowledge comes power!

We have several unique aspects to our program

  1. We identify and address the 8 areas of weight loss resistance: Stress, Sleep, Neurotransmitter Imbalances, Thyroid Fatigue, Sex Hormone Imbalances, Insulin Resistance, Gut Dysbiosis and Toxic Burden.
  2. We use scientific testing to determine underlying root causes of weight loss resistance (WLR): Total Metabolism Testing (TMT), Comprehensive Metabolic Profiling, IgG Food Anti-body Testing, Environmental Intolerance Testing and more.
  3. We focus on balanced and whole foods nutrition.
  4. We teach the lifestyle changes through one-on-one counseling, group education sessions and hands-on cooking classes.
  5. We provide the accountability and support our clients need using compassion, enthusiasm and positive feedback.
  6. We incorporate functional exercise tailored to each person's needs and abilities.
  7. We follow up our weight loss phase with a maintenance program that ensures the behavioral strategies are continued and optimal health is achieved.


The initial visit or the "Getting Started Visit" is where our client's journey begins.

The Getting Started Visit with Sheila Robertson, Program Director includes:

  • Review Health History, Eating Habits
  • Initial TMT Test ( establishes the baseline body composition and metabolic rate)
  • Determine/Uncover Your Areas of Weight Loss Resistance(AWLR)
  • Connect with Motivators
  • Initial Dietary Guidelines based on your AWLR
  • Long term and weekly goal setting
  • 1.5 Hour Visit


12 Week Optimal Body Balance Program:

  • Ongoing Testing to track progress and modify your program
  • Weekly Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching
  • One-on-one Menu/Snack Planning
  • Personalized Programs to address your AWLR
  • Supervised by Dr. Chad Oler, N.D.
  • Weight Loss Supplements & Monitoring
  • Bi-Weekly Group Education and Cooking Classes (also available on DVD)
  • Optional Testing Available as needed
