Optimal Nutrition in a Nutshell

To sum up the first four parts of this five part series:

  • Avoid foods that steal nutrients from you – the anti-nutrient rich foods, including most processed foods, non-organic foods and GMOs.
  • Eat mainly organic produce and flesh protein; try and get as much protein as possible from vegetarian sources to balance body chemistry.
  • Have 50-75% of your plate vegetables and fruits at any give meal. The other 25% or so should be protein and healthy fats at every meal, along with a whole grain maybe once daily.
  • Drink 8 oz. of water upon rising and 2-4 oz. of water every 20-30 minutes throughout the day. If you feel like drinking more, say after a workout, feel free.

Following these simple rules will improve your health and performance!
